My relationship with REIC started about 10 years ago when I first met Kris Krohn. I didn’t know it at the time, but for me that first meeting would lead to a life long friend and my participation in building a phenomenal company. Kris and I met in Germany on an LDS mission and we hit it off right away, very quickly becoming great friends. We discussed going into business with each other some day, not exactly knowing what that would mean. After we both came home we found our wives and continued our school. I was going to USF in Tampa, FL when I started to get calls from Kris every 6 months or so. He was telling me about what he was doing in real estate and how he needed my help. I would explain that I was still finishing my degree and starting a family and that I couldn’t uproot my family at that time. Well, he would press for a while and then let it go for another 6 months. After a few of these similar conversation, I had graduated, had my 3rd child, and had been laid off of a previous job. The timing was right. I moved my family from sunny Florida to snowy Utah and started helping Kris manage his properties and his partners.
An interesting thing happened. People started calling Kris every week. He would get calls from people he didn’t know who would say that he was helping a friend or family member and would he help them in their real estate endeavors. It started to become more that we could handle on our own and we started to realize that it would be a great idea to put some structure to this random mentoring.
We got a couple other friends on board and hired an assistant and were off to the races. REIC was created to facilitate a growing need; to have a conservative and well paying place to invest in.
We have been helping people invest for almost 7 years now and I have been able to be a part of that for the last 3. This is the only real estate experience that I have seen where you are literally taken by the hand and shown exactly what to do to create an amazing investment experience.
