My Story
For the past few years, I have been searching for the work that to me is not work because I love it so much. I grew up in Northern Colorado on a farm and moved to Utah to attend UVSC (now UVU) in 2002. In her last semester of school, my wife, Alyssa, took a real estate course that really got me thinking. The conversations I had with her about real estate began to excite me and lead me to read books about real estate. Along with the books I read, I began to listen to audio programs on my iPod. REIC popped up on my search for investment clubs that I could join to learn more so I signed up for their weekly emails. Throughout the next couple years I began meeting people who were in the real estate business, anywhere from local agents to investors who made millions in many different forms of real estate investing. I did not know how to get started but I knew that real estate investing is something that I wanted to do.
Over time, I decided to get my real estate license because I knew that would be a great way to gain more knowledge and meet more people in the industry. As I was talking to a lady in one of my training classes she mentioned REIC and said I would love it. I read some of the info she gave me and it all just seemed too good to be true. Who was this 29 year old millionaire Kris Krohn anyways? I blew it off and about two months later ended up with an REIC DVD in my hand. REIC kept poping up in my life. I watched it that night and loved what I saw. I looked it up online and signed up for a live seminar that next day. I was surprised to see Kris Krohn himself there at the seminar and his willingness to talk to each of us individually. It blew me away to see the potential of the company and the club. This is what I have been searching for over the last few years.
